Denver Botanic Gardens Woodland Mosaic Elopement

I met with Sheila & Danny and their good friend who officiated their beautiful ceremony in one of my favorite places. Sheila & Danny had the Denver Botanic Gardens Woodland Mosaic elopement of their dreams on a GORGEOUS spring evening & we laughed and cried and romped around the gardens and it was incredible.

I often photograph weddings at the botanic gardens and I regularly see the inside of the Woodland Mosaic Solarium with it’s sweet little twinkle lights and green house feel but to me… the magic is the outside of the structure where you actually get to be in the gardens that surround the space. It’s not always an option to pull the ceremony outside but I know with it just being the four of us that it would work out perfectly and we had the best light. I have always envisioned ceremonies being in this exact space & always feel a little wistful about it. I was so stoked that Sheila & Danny said yes when I suggested it! They said all they cared about was that they were able to get a few portraits inside the structure itself so we did their first dance inside & goodness it was all so perfect.

Danny & Sheila wrote the most endearing vows to each other, noting hard times & struggles they’ve had and their choice to move through it all together. They laughed, they cried, they held each other beautifully throughout the evening & it was a heart full day for me.

If you’re thinking about doing your elopement ceremony at the gardens please do not hesitate to reach out even if it’s just to ask a few questions. I am always so happy when I get to share my love for this space and even more thrilled when it’s with people who also love the gardens!
